TBC Crafters 68 : Paper Roll Graduation Scroll

Kids should be all out for Summer Vacation now. My kids have been off from school and have attended Summer camp for almost 3 weeks already. Miss Porky really likes the summer camp as there are plenty of activities other than academics. She can spend a lot of time on arts and crafts, cooking and making fun stuff. At home, she continues to craft or draw almost every night.

This week, she made a graduation scroll with a kitchen towel paper roll. It was 100% her creation this time. I did not even see her making it until she has 90% finished. Therefore, I don’t really have a detailed tutorial this week. Plus, it is very simple. Believe me, Miss Porky is still too young to make something complicated.

Materials needed:

A kitchen towel paper roll

A piece of white paper, full-scape size or A4-size

A piece of ribbon, recommended narrower one, Miss Porky used 3/8″ wide ribbon

Colored pencils, markers

Some tapes, double-side adhesive tapes and a pair of scissors

Instructions:

1) Cut the paper roll to the length that you like. Or, you would like to use the full length, that is fine. Miss Porky preferred hers a bit shorter.

P10307182) Wrap the paper roll with the piece of white paper, recommend to use double-side adhesive tapes so that no trace of tapes show.

P10307193) Finally, wrap the scroll with a ribbon and tie a bow in the front. Miss Porky wrote the word “Congratulations” and used her colored pencils to draw the fireworks on the scroll.

There should be a long time to go before Miss Porky and her brother graduate. Hope that they can enjoy a happy childhood and would have lots of nice memories before they grow up.
